Meet the Wildlife Heroes You Helped Train

Thanks to your amazing support, 42 young people are now ready to protect orangutans and their forest homes!

This year’s graduates from COP School in Yogyakarta.

They’ve just graduated from COP School. A six-day, intensive wildlife training program that turns passion into action. Thanks to you, they now have the tools they now have a greater insight into what is needed to help rescue and rehabilitate orangutans, protect rainforests, and stop wildlife crime.

You made this possible, and we couldn't be more grateful.

This year, 60 young people applied to join COP School–a record-breaking number! It’s a clear sign that your support is inspiring a new generation to stand up for forests and wildlife in Indonesia.

From these applicants, 42 were chosen, and over half were young women. It’s wonderful to see so many women stepping up to lead the way in conservation.

Learning To Protect Wildlife

Students gathered in Yogyakarta, Indonesia’s cultural heart, for a blend of classroom learning, field practice, and team activities to build their skills and confidence.

Our future wildlife heroes learned about:

🌿 Moral Activism–building courage and ethics to protect wildlife.

🌿 Conservation Skills–animal welfare, rescue, and working with rainforest communities.

🌿 Advocacy–investigating wildlife crime, research, and campaigning for change.

The workshop gave students a well-rounded, practical insight into wildlife and forest conservation. All of these new skills will help them to pursue careers in conservation and wildlife protection.

It All Starts With You

Since COP School began in 2011, 528 graduates have completed the program. And it’s all thanks to you!

As the COP School motto states: Animal Activism Starts Here

It starts with you. Your kindness is inspiring a powerful new wave of young wildlife and forest defenders across Indonesia.

Thank you for standing with us and championing a future where orangutans and all wildlife can thrive in safe, healthy forests. Because of you, these young heroes are ready to protect what matters most!
